About this Dog
This gorgeous, playful boy came to us back in 2015 from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC. He is lovable, energetic, affectionate... everything you could want in a young, large-breed dog. Dakota truly needs a FOREVER home. He has been returned to ARC FOUR TIMES since coming to us... and never for a reason that was a fault of his own! His first adopter brought him back because they, "didn't have enough time." His second adopter returned him because he got called back to the military. This was very sad, as we had very high hopes for this adopter. The third adopter returned poor Dakota because he was too energetic. This poor boy just can't catch a break! And finally, adopter number four returned him because he was too energetic, and was unwilling to train him (even though this was agreed to prior to adoption). Dakota needs an active, YOUNG family that will give him the exercise and attention that he really needs. He would do well in a young family that has adequate time to train him, exercise him, and play with him. If you're away from home frequently, or don't have the time to give him enough exercise and training, then Dakota is NOT the dog for you. However, if you're willing to devote the time he deserves to raise and train him properly, he'd be just perfect. We even provide the trainer!!! So... because he has been returned so many times, we have decided to classify Dakota as Foster to Adopt. This means that he must spend time in your home as a foster pet first. His foster home will be required to work with our canine trainer on a weekly basis. We will perform a home visit every week for the first few weeks. Once all parties involved are satisfied that we've found his forever home, we'll consider adoption. ARC will cover all costs associated with Dakota's care (food, medical, etc) during the time he's being fostered. Dakota is a wonderful, sweet dog. He just needs the right forever home. Why not come out and meet him? My ideal home: I need a forever home. A FOREVER home!!! I'm good with: Some Other Dogs Older Children Men Women Share

Adopt Dakota and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dakota's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Dakota's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Dakota, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Dakota's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dakota was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dakota’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Dakota’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dakota’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
