About this Cat
Meet Sauerkraut, affectionately referred to as “the cabbage.” Poor Sauerkraut was abandoned by her former family and left to fend for herself. Luckily a neighbor took her under her care and then reached out to Whiskers of Love for help. Because of this traumatic event, Sauerkraut took some time to adjust once indoors again, trying to figure out if she could trust her foster mom. But her foster mom was persistent and now Sauerkraut is a fully social member of the household who occupies laps and unexpectedly loves getting held and carried around. Her favorite activities are long (and we mean LONG) naps on the backs of armchairs or microfiber blankets, window watching, seeing if she can chew on plants without anyone noticing, and laying belly up in the middle of the hallway. As sweet and snuggly as she is, Sauerkraut is definitely still and will likely remain a Spice Girl (TM). She has made enormous strides but can still be startled by sudden movements or loud noises. Because of this, we recommend a quiet household without kids and probably without other animals (although we don’t know for sure how she feels about animal buddies she’s very happy as an only child). If you’re experienced with feline behavior and are looking for a devoted single companion you won’t regret meeting Sauerkraut! She’s the kind of cat who wants to be where the people are, even if you’re just hanging out separately in the same room. She is not at all skittish and will walk right up to all visitors so that they may pay tribute to the lady of the house. She’ll greet you at the door when you come home and is a lively conversationalist and has the most expressive face and is extremely smart. She’d make an incredible social media subject for anyone who is so inclined. Suaerkraut is spayed, vaccinated, combo tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. She is ready for her forever home! Could you be this deserving girl's special someone?

Adopt Sauerkraut and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sauerkraut's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Sauerkraut's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sauerkraut, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sauerkraut's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sauerkraut was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sauerkraut’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sauerkraut’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sauerkraut’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
