About this Dog
Rocky! DOB: 5/17/2016 Weight: 66lbs Rocky! This hunky guy is looking for another shot at a forever home too! He’s currently stuck in our overcrowded kennels. He’s a stalky, brindle and white pit bull terrier mix. He is completely house trained but will mark when he first arrives at a new place. Lots of dogs tend to do that. He’s been fine in his crate/kennel. He does excellent with other dogs! Previously lived with a 3 year old kid and did fine with him. Rocky does well for baths and car rides. Knows how to sit and takes treats nicely. No food or toy aggression. Rocky was adopted for several months but was returned due to him protecting what he believed to be his. He’s NOT a fan of strangers walking in or around the house or his people. He’s perfectly fine with HIS people, it’s new guests he doesn’t like. His adopter had muzzled him when friends came over and he did decent. Most of the time they put him up in a room. Rocky needs a proper introduction with new people outside of the house before allowing that person inside. His home was also surrounded by a solid wooden fence. A lady walked into the yard and Rocky had went after her. Rocky‘s ideal home would be one with a doggie playmate and someone who is very dog savy with larger breeds. With the right work he’d make a great guard dog and protector of the home. He was very loving towards the people that adopted him and he’s had no problems meeting people here at the shelter. It’s just once he gets into a home, he will become protective of the area and his people. His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting him please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to shelter 7/2021 and was adopted for a time. Returned to shelter 3/2022.

Adopt Rocky 2 and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rocky 2's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Rocky 2's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Rocky 2, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rocky 2's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rocky 2 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rocky 2’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Rocky 2’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rocky 2’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
