About this Dog
Sister is a very sweet older lady who is looking for her own lap. Her journey to us is sad but not horrible. Her original dad passed away in 2021. He had made arrangement for her to go to another gentleman who was the husband to a current foster parent. Unfortunately he passed away earlier this year. Penni contacted Laurie that she was concerned about Sister. Laurie took her to our vet and was fearing the worse. Luckily Dr. Stephanie was able to give her an oportunity with some heart meds as her blood panel was pretty good. Sister is with Laurie as she needed meds twice a day. Within weeks, Sister was doing so much better that her meds were dropped to once a day. Update: Laurie has left for the east coast and has returned Sister to Penni. Laurie's other concern, as with any older companion was her teeth. Sister did receive a full dental in May 2022. During this session, 23 teeth were extracted. So she is back on meds twice a day but will soon be back to once a day. Maybe in time the levels can be adjusted down if the coughing is kept in control. When Sister came home from her dental, she got in line and demanded her daily chew. Laurie gave her one of the thinner ones and Sister went to town on it. She still makes sure she gets not only her daily chew treat, but her 5 pm. wet food. Since her dental, she has taken to chunching some dry kibble a few days later.Sister now is looking for her final lap to grace. You will receive a copy of the blood work and dental. You do have the option to continue to use our vet by transferring her to your own account when an appointment is needed. If you would like to schedule a meet-n-greet text at (559) 372-9732. As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship. Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.

Adopt Sister and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sister's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Sister's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sister, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sister's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sister was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sister’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sister’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sister’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
