About this Dog
Connie and TJ joined the rescue a few weeks ago when the owner of the rescue organization they were with passed away after a long illness. Along with a few other rescues, we were able to get 16 dogs safely to rescue. Our duo have both gotten all caught up on their vetting and we have gotten to know them a little bit :) They are both super special dogs. They are both on the small side which appeals to many. When they got to Lisa to foster they did not mess in their kennels. She said just lately they have occasionally messed in them but I feel that is they are just so tired of kennel life. They both are fine on a leash although Connie can be a little strong at first... she is just excited... she calms down when you ask her to walk nicely. They both take treats from your hand soooo gently❤️ They seem fine with other dogs and know many commands. They don’t seem to have high prey instincts. Today we had them out with Lisa’s ducks and they were interested but not in a big way. TJ was on a leash when Lisa’s cat came out from under a car and he just sniffed the cat and the cat did not run away. They are both sweet and loving. Connie is a little more independent...TJ wants to cuddle more and is a little clingy. Both ride well in the car. Today they were doing adorable zombies around and around with big smiles on their faces. Connie LOVES squeaky toys and loves to chase and retrieve. TJ does not have much interest in toys but loves anything to chew on. We gave them both baths and clipped their nails and they were extremely well-behaved.12/12 UPDATE: TJ will be moving to his Minnesota foster home on 1/2/21. Please check back for more updates on him soon!!! 2/11/21: TJ is back with the rescue after not being a good fit in his adoptive home. He will need a home that understands the breed and who will allow him time to adjust to all of the changes and will take the time to get to know him and his sweet and funny personality and who understands his being vocal when he wants your attention. TJ is now in his Minnesota foster home and is doing very well. We will give him some time to adjust his move and will post more updates soon!! 7/28/21 UPDATE: TJ moved to the rescue's board & train facility and has been working with Darren and Hayley on his social skills and learning how to be less reactive in new and fearful situations. He has made great strides and they are doing some meet & greets with potential families. TJ will require a very structured, very patient and very understanding home who will continue to work with him on his fear issue. He has done beautifully with other dogs at Unleashed...he does not like dominant and overly pushy dogs, he will ty to shoulder them away as a warning. We are so proud of his progress!!!!! 12/6/21 UPDATE FROM HIS FOSTER/TRAINER: TJ Has been with us since late July. He has made a great amount of success with some of his quirkiness. A lot of his reactions are due to past neglect and likely abuse, quick sudden movements do make TJ fearful and apprehensive and generally would cause him to run away. He is also still a little sensitive to quick touches to his side and rear - likely still trauma and remembrance of the past. Despite all that he still is a GREAT dog. He is great with children - we have a 2 and 4 year old and He is 100% potty trained and fantastic in a kennel, he doesn’t even mess up his blanket. TJ Absolutely gets along with all types and sizes of dogs - he currently lives with 10 other dogs plus mingles with many more in the boarding facility on the property. he even likes the chickens on the farm, especially likes to go in the coops and check out the laying hens. TJ also possesses decent leash manners and politely will meet other dogs and people. TJ is more than ready to find his perfect home! 3/8/22: TJ moved into a foster home in Illinois and is getting to know his foster dad and foster fursister, AABR alumni Sugar. We will post updates and pictures soon!!

Adopt TJ and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, TJ's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is TJ's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the TJ, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming TJ's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and TJ was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, TJ’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the TJ’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, TJ’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
