About this Cat
A Guardian Angel is covering half of Tabby Beans' Adoption Fee!Tabby Beans was trapped during the course of a trap-neuter-return project in Harrisburg's inner city in late August, 2020. Her trapper-turned foster mom quickly discovered what a sweet and lovable little girl Tabby Beans was. Just as Tabby was about to be admitted into the adoption program, she tested positive for feline leukemia. Feline Leukemia is a disease that affects a cat's immune system. It is contagious only between cats through casual contact, such as sharing of food and water bowls, litter boxes and mutual grooming. Cats who test positive for feline leukemia should ideally only share a home with other positive cats. Despite having this disease, Tabby is as happy a cat as ever! She is very playful with her foster mom and will give her foster mom the occasionally "facial"! Tabby is only about 5yrs. old. She enjoys eating wet food and relaxing on top of cats trees in front of windows. Due to having periodontal disease, Tabby Beans has had a full mouth extraction. She has handled this remarkably well and has made a full recovery. For more information on feline leukemia, please follow this link: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-leukemia-virus Tabby P Beans has been spayed, vaccinated against rabies & distemper, microchipped and has tested negative for FIV.
