He had to leave his prior home due to a medical emergency with his human. While his human absolutely adored Baxter, they had to make the difficult decision to find Baxter a new home.Baxter is a beautiful and very sweet 6-year-old boy. He loves being petted, adores people, and seems to really like men. With his recent sudden change, he has some separation anxiety so needs to be in a home where his people are there for him. Besides a parrot friend, he’s been a lone dog until now, but may benefit from living with another dog. He is playful, but not overly rambunctious, and enjoys his stuffed toys in the house and likes to chase after balls in the yard and run laps. He is very calm in the house. Baxter will lean on you while you talk to him, pet him, or brush him. He enjoys being in the backyard but has a very strong prey drive. Baxter has lived in a home with a fenced yard, so we would love to find him another home with a fenced yard. Baxter needs a home without small pets (cats, rabbits, etc.). Baxter wasn’t able to be walked much in his recent life, but his fosters have been taking him for walks which he seems to really enjoy but is still working on his comfort and confidence. He does have a corn on one toe that we are treating. Baxter is on a special diet, but is otherwise a sweet, easy boy. He’s a good sleeper and sleeps quietly through the night, doesn’t get up on the furniture, is happy on his bed, and very good with being handled (e.g., nail trimming). Help us find Baxter his new home. Sponsored by Jennifer Lee in honor of Morgan and Tyler Schuck You can sponsor Baxter until he finds his forever home. Adopt Baxter and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Baxter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Baxter's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Baxter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Baxter's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Baxter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Baxter’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Baxter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Baxter’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
