About this Cat
Edmond is an adult, neutered male cat, probably born 2016, but we aren't sure. He is a large, dignified, softball headed lump of sugar. He grew up in a large group of cats and is used to not being the center of attention so he is quietly overjoyed when someone singles him out for cheek rubs. He won't put himself forward or compete for attention - but he just lights up if he's approached. Once he knows you think he's special, he will return the sentiment with the sweetest, thumping head bumps you've ever felt. He prefers to be the only cat, after a lifetime spend in a crowd, and he will devote 100% of his love and attention on you. Note: Edmond has been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is an inherited heart condition. The muscles of his heart will continute to grow inappropriately, making the chambers smaller and smaller until he can't pump enough blood to stay alive. This will shorten his life significantly. There are drug regimens that will keep him comfortable and fend of side effects of his cardiac issues, but they can't stop the disease itself. We don't know how quickly the disease will advance, so there are serious question marks in his future, but we would love to find someone willing to take a chance on him and give him a home for whatever lifespan he may have - 6 months, two years, maybe longer...we just don't know.

Adopt Edmond and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Edmond's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Edmond's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Edmond, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Edmond's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Edmond was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Edmond’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Edmond’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Edmond’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
