About this Cat
Buddy was given to me by my neighbor after my previous cat passed away from old age. I’ve recently become ill with several medical conditions and am no longer able to care for her (I’m 77 and live alone) and she needs a new home immediately. Buddy is very sweet and affectionate 14 or 15 year old tuxedo cat, average weight, 7-10lbs? She has had shots and is very healthy. An ideal home would be with someone who is retired or home at least half the week. She does well on her own, but does like being with others with a relatively stable schedule. She has no special needs or medical conditions, but has recently been having some accidents because I’ve been away at the hospital, and my neighbor is taking care of her, so she’s unhappy with the situation and needs more care. She eats and drinks well, and will love anyone who is gentle and kind.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Buddy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buddy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Buddy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buddy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
