Vino is a mellow guy, once he has been given time to trust. Vino is a bit nervous around people right at first, men especially. He nipped his Foster’s husband’s hand when they first got him, but has gotten much better now. He doesn’t like quick movements. Vino’s foster says he is very loving and sweet, walks well and doesn’t need to be on leash. Though he is on one most of the time. He minds very well. Vino will stay close if he gets too far, she calls him and he comes right back. Vino also loves chew toys and likes to chase balls and sticks. Vino age is estimated at about 5 years. He is not high energy except when he sees his person come home, he gets excited, but calms down. He is affectionate and would love to just be petted non stop! No young children. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Vino was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Vino’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Vino’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Vino’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
