About this Cat
Meet Oreo – The Sweet Survivor with a heart as big as his paws. Oreo is a big-hearted 5 year old bruiser with a past full of hardship and a spirit full of love. Life on the streets wasn’t kind to Oreo—he survived being hit by a car and even shot at (x-rays show tiny pellets in his rear leg). But despite it all, Oreo never lost his gentle soul. When rescued, Oreo didn’t know human touch—but he allowed his caregivers to treat him, medicate him, and even trim his nails without a single growl or hiss. His foster family says he's one of the calmest, most affectionate cats they’ve ever met. He adores cheek rubs and will lovingly nuzzle his meaty face against yours. And while he’s a big boy, Oreo chirps and meows like a kitten—but purrs like a truck! And yes, that’s a big heart-shaped marking on his left shoulder… proof that he truly wears his heart on his sleeve. Oreo’s Ideal Home Oreo is looking for a peaceful, loving home where he can finally enjoy the comfort he’s missed out on for so long. He's initially cautious with new people (can you blame him?) but once he knows you're one of the "good guys", he'll give you his whole heart, purring, nuzzling and taking naps on your lap. He’s great with other cats and is being introduced to a dog in his foster home. Whether you're a first-time cat adopter or a seasoned feline fan, Oreo will be a calm, loyal and loving companion. About FIV Oreo is FIV positive, but don’t let that worry you. Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives and can safely live with other cats, especially when properly introduced. Oreo requires no special medications or treatments—just regular vet care and a family to love him. Adopt Oreo-Buddy and Receive Oreo-Buddy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Oreo-Buddy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Oreo-Buddy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Oreo-Buddy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Oreo-Buddy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Oreo-Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Oreo-Buddy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Oreo-Buddy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Oreo-Buddy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
