A note from Xochitl's foster:`If you enjoy quiet calm nights sitting on the couch watching a movie than Xochitl is your girl. She likes nothing better than to curl up beside you and fall asleep. During the day she loves to explore the outdoors. She's always looking for a great hunt, looking in the trees for birds or squirrels, possible sniffing for a deer that she can see. Her favorite time of the day is mealtime :) Xochitl loves everyone that she meets in her foster's home, 2-legged or 4. She is good with toddles and other dogs: she has not been tested around cats. Xochitl is a 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who is looking for her forever family. She has a huge heart who wants to be loved.`

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, XOCHITL's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and XOCHITL was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, XOCHITL’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the XOCHITL’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, XOCHITL’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
