About this Dog
Meet Boaz (aka Bobo) – The Gentle Soul Who Just Wants to Belong DOB: 4/23/2018 | Weight: 55 lbs | Dutch/German Shepherd Mix Boaz is a 7-year-old sweetheart with a heart as big as his Shepherd paws. Rescued from a life of backyard neglect, Boaz has shown nothing but gratitude and gentleness since stepping into a loving home — but sadly, due to no fault of his own, he’s once again in search of a forever family. This handsome boy is the definition of easygoing. He’s: ✔️ Housebroken ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Calm on leash and in the car ✔️ Polite and submissive with other dogs ✔️ Incredibly affectionate — he just wants to be near you Boaz is currently undergoing heartworm treatment using the slow-kill method (doxycycline and monthly topical preventatives). This option kills off any larva and allows the adults to die off slowly so there is no risk of blood clotting and no required cage rest time. He will be retested in a year (covered by LHS). He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. His current home has a senior dog who, unfortunately, isn’t adjusting to Boaz’s presence, causing stress and sadness for both pups. Boaz deserves to be in a stable environment where he can relax and be loved as he was meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is quiet, well-mannered, and endlessly loving, Boaz may just be your perfect match. He has so much love to give — all he needs is someone to give him the chance. Boaz is good with dogs and children. Unknown with cats (can be tested if needed). Located in North Texas. Ready to give Boaz the life he’s always deserved? Apply today at Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society and let this sweet boy show you just how special he is.

Adopt Boaz and Receive Boaz's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Boaz's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Boaz's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Boaz, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Boaz's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Boaz was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Boaz’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Boaz’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Boaz’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
