About this Dog
Skye lived with my sister for about 5 years of her life, then the last 3 years she has been with me, my wife, 6 year old son and 2 other dogs. We would love to keep her forever, we love her deeply, but our appartment lease will not allow her here any longer due to having 2 dogs on our lease already, and they dont allow her breed. She was attacked by another dog when I first took over her care, all healed up fine. She gets a little scared and shakes when she hears loud noises (fireworks, thunder etc.) She loves to cuddle on the couch or bed with whoever will have her, she tries to play with my other 2 dogs but she's about 60lbs and they both are 12 and 19lb dogs. They all get along great, in 2 years I have never seen an aggressive side to her. She is leash trained, and for the most part crate trained, she has tried to get out once. Skye was spayed in 2020. She has had her shots before, but not since the 2 years I have had her. She has not had any issues that we have had to take her to the vet for in 2 years.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Skye was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Skye’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Skye’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Skye’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
