Hello! My name is Anna LaPlante, and I’m reaching out with an urgent request for intake and/or foster support for a litter of nine kittens and their mother who showed up at my front porch earlier this week. The reason we took them in is due to the fact we believe they were dumped as they're all very friendly, approachable, and in a dangerous construction site. With the Texas heat already in full swing and no-kill shelters stretched to capacity, I understand the challenge, but I want to emphasize how crucial and rare this situation is—nine kittens plus a mother cat needing immediate help! The kittens are approximately 4 weeks old, and while I’ve been able to give them food, shelter, and basic care in my garage, they are heavily infested with fleas and need medical attention. My home is already full with 2 adult rescues plus a 3rd kitten we just rescued as well. I truly hope these incredible kitties find the care and home the so very much deserve!

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and No Name (Stray) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, No Name (Stray)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the No Name (Stray)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, No Name (Stray)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
