Hallie came into TexasCARES rescue along with her two-day old babies, having just given birth in a crowded local shelter. The shelter staff fell in love with Hallie’s gentle spirit and made it their mission to get her to a safe place. While in foster care, Hallie has proven to be one of the kindest, most gentle of kitties — endlessly tolerant, and full of quiet grace. This gentle girl asks for very little but will bring lots of warmth to your home. As a young adult, Hallie has spurts of playfulness, tossing around a fuzzy mouse or catnip infused toy. She adores a gentle chin rub and loves having the base of her tail scratched—and every morning, she waits at the foster room door with a hopeful face and bright eyes that say, “Hello again, friend.” Hallie is beautifully self-sufficient, making her a peaceful and low-maintenance companion. She is also fantastic with other kitties. She’s a feline nurturer at heart, happily mothering any foster kitty who crosses her path, treating each one with the same loving care she gave her own babies. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hallie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hallie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Hallie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hallie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
