This sweet mama and her babies were seen getting dumped and a good Samaritan stepped in. Her puppy, Riley, has since been adopted and now it's Stella's turn!Stella's foster says: `Stella is such a good dog. She's both the perfect walking companion and also loves to just chill on the couch. She was great with the finder's kids (8 and 2 years old). Weâre not 100% sure about dogs yet, and she tries to chase cats. Stella sometimes bites at the leash for the first few seconds itâs on, and then walks just fine.âStella has really come out of her shell while being in a foster home. She loves people and wants to say hi to everyone she passes! She did great in a crate while her foster sitters were at work and slept great through the night. She's been nonreactive to dogs while on leash, even when they're barking at her. She can happily walk for miles (as long as the weather is cool enough) and then entertain herself with a toy or a Kong. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *STELLA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *STELLA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *STELLA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *STELLA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
