About this Cat
Here's what Honey Boy's foster has to say, `This is the sweetest cat and we rate him 10/10. Honey Boy is a superb work-from-home companion and a frisky, kid-friendly playmate. We got Honey Boy from the shelter in mid-February as a special needs cat because his pelvis was broken. He was tripping on his pain meds for the first few days and kind of smelly and dirty. As he healed and warmed up to us, he started taking care of his own hygiene and really bonded with our family (kids are 8 and 11 years old). He was released by the shelter vet for adoption on 3/10/25. We donât have other cats or dogs, so we can't give any report about whether he likes other animals. Now, he is a different cat entirely from the one we first fostered. He is so friendly and sociable. He helps Rebecca work from home every weekday by napping, getting frequent pets, and keeping watch on the street from the window of our home office. He gets frisky when the kids get home from school and does his hilarious and frequently goofy wrestling and playing with cat toys with the kids. We have three toilets that he closely monitors for captive potential petters. He sits on the couch with us when we watch a movie. If weâre upstairs, heâs upstairs. If weâre downstairs, heâs downstairs. He loves people. He was leery of our 8-year-old at first (sheâs very loud) but he warmed up to her too. Honey Boy is chill most of the time. He makes us laugh with his antics when he is feeling lively. He makes us laugh when he naps in the sink. His back-end looks kind wonky from his broken pelvis and heâs somewhat physically handicapped but, today, he doesnât appear bothered in the least by his injury. Heâs just living his best life. What a great cat!` If you're interested in learning more about Honey Boy, please click on the `Get Started` button to connect to his foster!

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the *HONEY BOY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming *HONEY BOY's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *HONEY BOY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *HONEY BOY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *HONEY BOY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *HONEY BOY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
