About this Dog
Meet Barnabas – Your Gentle, Loyal Shadow After spending 10 wonderful years as a cherished family companion, Barnabas is now searching for a soft landing and a second chance at love. This sweet senior gentleman has settled seamlessly into home life as a solo dog. Barnabas is fully house-trained, has impeccable indoor manners, and is perfectly content napping quietly on his bed or nearby on the floor. He’s respectful of furniture, enjoys life’s simple pleasures, and rides like a dream in the car. He does have a strong prey drive—squirrels, beware!—so a secure, fenced yard is recommended for his safety and enjoyment. While he may give chase, he’s obedient and quick to return when called. Barnabas is not suited for a home with cats or children under the age of 12. He thrives in a calm environment and would do best with older kids who can respect his gentle nature and senior status. He does shed quite a bit, and he sometimes gets excited and jumps up to greet new people. Both are manageable with regular grooming and gentle guidance. Calm, affectionate, and deeply loyal, Barnabas will become your devoted companion. Once he knows you’re his person, he’ll quietly lay by your side, listen to the birds, and soak up every peaceful moment. Barnabas is ready to spend his golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and love. He truly is the best boy—who could ask for anything more? Medical Notes: Neutered Vaccinated Microchipped Heartworm Negative ProHeart 12 Injection Senior Wellness Exam and Bloodwork - all within normal limits, he has arthritis and is maitained with anti-inflammatories and joint supplements He is also on Trazodone for anxiety

Adopt Barnabus and Receive Barnabus's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Barnabus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Barnabus's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Barnabus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Barnabus's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Barnabus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Barnabus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Barnabus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Barnabus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
