About this Dog
Hi there… I’m Noodle. Yeah, I know — funny name for a dog, right? But I kinda like it. It makes people smile when they say it. And right now, I could really use someone to smile when they see me. Because my time’s almost up. I don’t like saying that. It scares me, to be honest. I keep hoping maybe someone will come for me — that they’ll see past the kennel walls and the shelter noise, and look at me. Just me. A 66-pound fluffball with a soft heart, four years under his belt, and a lot of love to give. I was found wandering alone. I don’t know how I got lost or why no one came for me. I waited… and waited… but no one ever showed up. So now I’m here. And it’s not a bad place, really. They’re kind to me. But I heard the volunteers whisper today. My name was on a list. A scary kind of list. I’m not wild or rowdy. I don’t bounce off the walls. I’m what they call moderate energy — which basically means I’m down for a game of fetch, but I’m just as happy curling up beside you while you read or sip your coffee. I love being with people. I mean really love it. I lean into pets, close my eyes when you rub my ears, and try to stay as close as I can without being too much. I’m still learning the whole leash thing. I get a little tangled up sometimes, but once I find my rhythm, I’m pretty smooth. A few kind words and maybe a treat or two, and I’m all yours. Other dogs? Yeah, I like 'em! I’m cool with sharing space, wagging tails, even a little play. I don’t want to fight. I just want to belong. They say I might be a Lab/Aussie mix. That sounds fancy, huh? All I know is I’ve got the softest coat, some big soulful eyes, and a lot of darling — whatever that means. But none of that will matter if no one comes. I don’t want to be just a name on a clipboard. I want to be someone’s best friend. I want to chase butterflies in a backyard, nap at your feet while you work, and hear you say, “Come on, Noodle!” like we’ve been together forever. Please. If you're out there, and your heart has a little room left in it… come find me. Don’t let this be the end of my story. I’m not ready to go. I’m ready to love. Love,Noodle *Guest Posting**You can foster to adopt, foster or adopt!* If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at [email protected] or 865-236-0830.
