About this Dog
Meet Kip – A Gentle Soul on His Way to Becoming Someone’s Whole World ✨ There’s something in Kip’s eyes—a quiet hope, a flicker of trust, and the unspoken question, “Could you be my person?” Kip is a 5-month-old Sheltie mix, currently weighing 26 pounds, with the softest features and a heart that’s just beginning to bloom. Born into a chaotic environment with over 40 dogs and puppies crammed into one yard, Kip never had the chance to be held, cherished, or known as anything more than just another face in the crowd. But that’s all changing now. Since being rescued by Critter Cavalry Rescue, Kip has been learning what it means to be loved. His foster mom is slowly helping him uncover the joys of belly rubs, soft voices, and kindness without strings. This is his first time living inside a real home—his first experience with things many dogs take for granted: a cozy bed, a bowl of food all to himself, the gentle rhythm of life without competition or fear. Kip is naturally shy, but don't mistake that for indifference—he watches with those soulful eyes, wanting so badly to be part of the love he’s witnessing. Each day brings small victories: a tail wag when his name is called, the courage to walk a little further on leash, the brave decision to curl up next to the foster dog who’s showing him the ropes. He is not broken—just blooming. And what a beautiful thing it will be to watch this boy fully come alive. Kip will likely grow to be about 50 pounds, making him the perfect medium-sized companion for a home that embraces calm energy and gentle encouragement. He would thrive with: A quiet or moderately active household Older children who understand patience Possibly another well-balanced dog to mentor him Someone who doesn’t mind sitting quietly while he learns to lean in This boy doesn’t need flashy promises—just someone to love him, consistently and softly, for who he is. In return, Kip will give you the kind of bond that only comes from earning a once-overlooked dog’s trust. Are you the person who can help Kip write the next chapter of his story? Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at [email protected] and let us know your city and state. Kip is being fostered in Tennessee, but he can travel via our weekly transport to loving homes in the northeastern U.S. Let’s make sure Kip never fades into the background again. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact [email protected].

Adopt PUPPY KIP and Receive PUPPY KIP's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, PUPPY KIP's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is PUPPY KIP's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the PUPPY KIP, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming PUPPY KIP's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and PUPPY KIP was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, PUPPY KIP’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the PUPPY KIP’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, PUPPY KIP’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
