HI, I’M BUZZ—AND I’VE GOT A QUESTION THAT KEEPS ME UP AT NIGHT: WHY HAVEN’T I BEEN ADOPTED YET? I watch families come and go, tails wagging into new beginnings, and I cheer them on. But I wonder… when will it be my turn? As you can see, I am always sporting my handsome good looks with the cutest polka dotted ears and showing my fun, happy-go-lucky personality. Everyone here at LaMancha, humans and dogs alike love me, so I am thinking it is because I hear with my heart, as I am hearing impaired. Please don’t let that deter you, because it doesn’t bother me at all. I am a completely normal dog, and I am not fazed by my hearing impairment at all, especially since I was born this way and adapted so well. In fact, I already know lots of hands signals that the volunteers have taught me, so I communicate with my friends very easily. My many dog friends love me, and we have so much fun together. In fact, I seem to be the dog that all dogs love, so I must be very special in their eyes too. I know I will make my family so happy. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Buzz's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buzz was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buzz’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Buzz’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buzz’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
