About this Dog
NAME: Buzz BREED: Pit Bull BIRTHDAY: 2018 WEIGHT: 55lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200 Buzz is one of the absolute sweetest dogs we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Despite the pain and discomfort he suffered before coming to us, he was the most gentle angel at the shelter and he has continued that behavior in foster care. Buzz allows our vet to clean and medicate his painfully infected ears, and allows his foster mom to apply his eye medicines every day. He allows the sassy old cats to swat him in the face, and the curious kittens to chomp his tail. He allows new people to come meet him, and give him hugs and kisses. He allows the other dogs here to sneak food from his bowl, take his toys, lay with him in the yard, wrestle him and knock him over. And honestly- he genuinely seems to enjoy every interaction. We have not met a living creature that Buzz does not absolutely love. There is an endless list of good things to say about Buzz. He is house trained and trustworthy with the other animals when home alone. He doesn't bark, but whines to communicate his needs and does his precious (and reasonably low-volume) howl when he needs extra lovings. He rides well in the car, does his best on leash (he's still a bit wobbly, likely from the chronic ear infections), and is happy to play or snooze inside or outside- wherever you are. When he gets too excited during play, he corrects easily and seems very sorry to have hurt anyone's feelings. Treats are taken so slowly and gently that they are often stolen by other dogs. We' re really not sure what more you could ask for! Buzz's chronic dry eye means he will need to be on Optimmune, twice daily for the rest of his life. He does have some vision issues but gets around just fine. He is low-energy and mostly just needs love and affection, although he does love to wrestle and would LOVE a patient and gentle large dog friend, or a rowdy and pushy small dog friend. Buzz will not protect you from burglars but he will save you and your pets from loneliness, and will be your best buddy (and maybe even your best dog) for life.

Adopt Buzz and Receive Buzz's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Buzz's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Buzz's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Buzz, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Buzz's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buzz was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buzz’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Buzz’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buzz’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
