About this Cat
NAME: Cinders BREED: DSH BIRTHDAY: Summer 2024 ADOPTION FEE: $100 This beautiful girl was found in a box in York city along with more than a dozen other kittens. Several were sick and several had already died, and several were bottle babies in immediate need of feeding and care. Our friends at Sam's Beasties took in most of this group, but with no help from the York SPCA or other rescues, we wanted to help as much as we could. We squeezed in 4 kittens: 3 teeny tinies who were obviously the same age/litter, and one slightly older kitten. They were sneezy and underweight but otherwise healthy and surprisingly friendly. After growing a little and clearing quarantine, we let the family loose in the GOT house. Now they run around like overgrown mice, getting into trouble and getting underfoot, and the joy and laughter they have brought to the house has been absolutely wonderful. Cinders was the largest kitten we took in, and although she appears to be related to Ash, Dove, and Smudge, she is clearly not from the same litter. Pictures do not do her justice: she has a lovely round face with big eyes, and looks like an exotic breed. Cinders loves playing with her siblings and she REALLY loves snuggling with the adult cats here. She has been like a mommy to the little ones and always keeps them well groomed, but we think she misses her own mommy. Cinders and her siblings will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped December 16th and will be ready to leave anytime after that. These kittens must be adopted out in pairs . They are very friendly with other cats and are also very comfortable with friendly dogs of all sizes.

Adopt Cinders and Receive Cinders's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cinders's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cinders's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cinders, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cinders's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cinders was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cinders’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cinders’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cinders’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
