London is a total sweetheart, with a cuddly and affectionate personality that just wants to be adored and live happily among her people. She was originally found stray and spent most of this year being cared for in the home of her finder before she came into PAWS. She was tested and found to be positive for FeLV while in their care, and our test also came up positive, so London would either need to be the only cat in your home unless there are already confirmed positive cats living with you -- just talk to your vet and our staff more about those possible matches! She is a little skittish and independent when arriving at a new location, but once you give her time to know you London starts showering you with her love and endearing squeaks. She doesn't have a known history around dogs or kids, but with older or cat-savvy younger kids she seems open to that dynamic. **Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that is specific to cats that weakens a cat’s immune system. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives—but with a shorter life expectancy than cats without FeLV. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, London's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and London was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, London’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the London’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, London’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
