About this Cat
Charmingly well-loved stuffed animal? Adorable cryptid? No, it's just Samie! This delightful little man was recently returned to PAWS due to an unexpected change in his adopters' circumstances, but he settled into his foster home easily and now he's looking for another home that will give him lots of love and attention. Samie warms up to new people quickly and is friendly and easygoing once he knows you. He's a senior gent who won't skip his afternoon nap time, but he's also happy to explore or play with toys when the opportunity presents itself. He likes attention and doesn't mind being picked up or brushed - very important, since he needs regular brushing (and a quick face wipe every now and then) to keep him in tip-top adorable shape! Like most senior cats, Samie has a few ongoing health issues, number one of which is chronic kidney disease. This is a progressive condition that will never go away, but a special diet and supplemental fluids (injected under his skin with a needle - very fast and easy!) are helping him keep a good quality of life. The best home for Samie will be prepared to continue his current care plan and work with their own vet to make sure that he's continuing to do well. In return, he'll keep you smiling every day with his funny face and cute antics! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions about Samie and his needs! Age: 11 years Animal ID#: A179056 I am not at the shelter. Please email my foster parent at [email protected] to learn more about me!

100% of Samie's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Samie.
Adopt Samie and Receive Samie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Samie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Samie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Samie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Samie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Samie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Samie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Samie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Samie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
