Meet Melrose - a gorgeous, sweet girl with a character. Need a nap partner? She’s the one. Loves to play with feet & follow you around, she likes to stay close to her human but does like her own space. You will find her lounging around between meals, she loves to eat & snack. Very food motivated. Low maintenance. Cute, sweet little meows, it’s her way no other way. Will do best as a single pet/cat - loves the attention for herself. She does well around people, and will rub up on you for scratches. Melrose and her 3 kittens were brought in by a good samaritan who provided them with a warm shelter and food during the snowstorm in early January. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Melrose was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Melrose’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Melrose’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Melrose’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
