Petunia is a 5-year-old tuxedo cat with a sweet and laid-back personality. She thrives as the only pet in the household and can get anxious around other animals. Petunia loves toys she can chase and is an avid bird watcher, whether through the window or on TV. If you need a mouser, she’s probably got the skills! She has a quirky habit of jumping into the bathtub whenever you’re in the bathroom, waiting for you to turn on the water so she can drink from the tap. While Petunia isn’t fond of being picked up, she loves chin scratches and being near her humans. Her love language is proximity, and she’ll happily spend hours sleeping right beside you on the couch or in bed. She’s the perfect work-from-home companion, always nearby for some quiet company. Despite her initial shyness with people, she’s very friendly and quickly warms up to company and attention from humans. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Petunia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Petunia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Petunia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Petunia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
