About this Cat
Bashful is a very loving black cat who loves other cats! Sadly, through no fault of Bashful and despite our best efforts to screen adopters, he had to be saved from his previous adopters. Until we found out, he had spent his time with his past adopter scared, hiding, and not cared for or kept safe. Once we were made aware, we went and had to pull him out of the drop-ceiling in the basement. He was so scared and yet so happy when he recognized us. We have been working on his confidence and he's mostly back to his happy self. We want to him to find a safe, loving forever home with another cat for him to share his love with. Bashful needs a cat savvy person to help him blossom. He is one of Snow White's kittens who came to us with his six siblings. Snow White was a great momma who was very loving to her babies. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bashful was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bashful’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bashful’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bashful’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
