About this Cat
Birthday: October 30, 2015 Location: East Petersburg, PA Big Boy is a really special kitty with a heart of gold. He was living outside in a colony of cats and being cared for by a kind older woman who loved him very much. She needed to move to another state and was unable to take him, leaving her heartbroken. He was very overweight when he was brought indoors, hence why his previous caretaker named him Big Boy. He is on a weight loss journey and has already lost 2 pounds! Due to his size, he wasn't able to groom himself properly. As a result, his fur became extremely matted. He had to be shaved, but thankfully, his fur is growing back in nicely! As often happens with outdoor cats, he ended up with a dental disease, requiring multiple teeth to be pulled. He only has a few teeth left, but he doesn't let that hold him back! He still eats dry food mixed with wet food. He is feeling like a totally different cat now that he is free from pain and has really started showing his true, loving personality! Big Boy is the cutest brown tabby with the biggest cheeks and giant round head. He is shy when first getting to know people, but when he feels comfortable, his true personality comes out! He is a gentle soul that just wants love. He has learned to love sitting on laps and getting both chin and cheek scratches! You can tell by his excited purring that he really enjoys them! He makes the cutest squeaking sound instead of a meow! It's actually so hard to believe the sound is coming from him! He really enjoys the companionship of his current foster brother and can often be found rubbing up against him or cuddled up with him for naps. Speaking of naps, he loves his cat naps! He has a low energy level and would benefit from another cat friend with a similar energy level to boost his confidence and mentor him. He is still learning to trust people, therefore is looking for a family who has the time and patience to let him adjust at his own speed. He needs a quiet and calm household. Once he learns he can trust you he will be your best buddy and want to sit on your lap all the time. Be prepared to stay for awhile because he will not want to leave your lap! Big Boy is hopeful for a loving family that is patient with him and understands it will take time for him to adjust to his new home. If you have the time to dedicate to him, he will fill your life with lots of love, purrs and squeaks! His adoption donation is $75 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter. Adopt Big Boy and Receive Big Boy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Big Boy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Big Boy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Big Boy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Big Boy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Big Boy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Big Boy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Big Boy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Big Boy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
