Hello! My name is Copper and I am a neutered male, 8 months old. I came to the Pet Pantry after being socialized and cared for by a kind woman. I am a very sweet and loving cat. I am still very shy when I first get into new situations though. I was very scared when I first came into the rescue. So scared in fact, that the Pet Pantry decided to send me to foster to make sure I was okay with being a house pet. Turns out I just don't show too well in the adoption center because I am one of the most affectionate cats ever once I am comfortable in a home environment! My foster mom and dad have been working hard to earn my trust and it's paying off! I love the squeezy treats that they give me! I am a bit timid to the touch at first but once I learn that you intend to scratch behind my ears I come back and ask for more and more! I am looking for a family that will be patient with me as I continue to learn to trust. I am not a "pick-me-up" kitty and would do better with older or more considerate children who can respect that. I do very well in the home and have excellent litter box habits. I enjoy other cats and get along with dogs, too! In fact,, having a friend I can play with would probably be a huge bonus for me! Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Copper's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Copper was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Copper’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Copper’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
