SWEET AND RELAXED Hello, I’m Wisp — a charming and gentle fluffball born on April 18, 2018. With my soft, luxurious coat and serene demeanor, I’m the kind of companion who quietly steals your heart. I don’t meow or demand attention—I simply wait patiently, standing gracefully and gazing at you with hopeful eyes until you notice me. When you do, I’ll eagerly lean in, rubbing against your hands with tender affection. If you pause, I’ll softly pace, reminding you that I’m ready for more love. I’m a calm, mellow soul who dreams of curling up beside you on the sofa, quietly watching the world go by. I’m friendly and outgoing, adapting quickly to new faces and gentle with everyone I meet. You can trust me—I’m easygoing and even-tempered, happy to let you clean my ears, care for my paws, or gently brush out any knots without protest. My coat is soft and beautiful, though I arrived at the rescue needing some shaving due to severe matting. Don’t mind my uneven fur—it’s growing back beautifully! Because I have difficulty grooming myself, I need a loving owner who can brush me regularly to keep my coat healthy and tangle-free. I do have a sensitive stomach and thrive on a special diet of Natural Balance duck and green pea dry food and pate wet food. Seafood flavors don’t agree with me, so I must avoid those entirely to stay happy and healthy. I get along well with other cats and mellow dogs; my calm nature makes me an ideal companion for a quiet home. Older, gentle children who understand the art of peaceful living would be just fine by me. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wisp was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wisp’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Wisp’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wisp’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
