About this Cat
LOYAL AND LOVING TEDDY BEAR SOUL Greetings, I’m Wyatt—a distinguished senior gentleman, born on August 18, 2014, who looks like a cherished teddy bear come to life. With my plush, velvety fur and soulful eyes, I practically beg for a gentle touch—and I’ll melt under your fingers once I get it. My heart is just as soft as my fur, filled with affection, warmth, and a deep longing for companionship. Though age has slowed my steps, my spirit remains youthful and full of quiet curiosity. I enjoy the simple pleasures—gentle play, cozy naps, and being near the people I trust. My demeanor is calm and composed, and I carry myself with the quiet confidence of a cat who has seen much, endured plenty, and still believes in love. I'm even-tempered and exceptionally well-mannered—truly, a gentleman through and through. My path to safety wasn’t easy. In 2024, I was rescued by Forever Love Rescue through the Vacant House Project. I arrived thin and unwell, my body weary but my spirit unbroken. With the help of my loving foster family and skilled medical care, I made an inspiring recovery—and blossomed into the affectionate, trusting boy I was always meant to be. I’m FIV-positive, but don’t let that worry you—it simply means I need a low-stress life, regular vet care, and lots of love. I get along peacefully with other cats and share a special bond with my friend Jett, another FIV+ resident here at Kitty Corner. We’ve found comfort in each other’s company and would love to remain close if you have room in your heart and home for two gentle souls. I'm also quite food motivated—treats and mealtimes are highlights of my day! I do need to eat canned food separately from other cats to make sure I get my fair share (and to avoid trying to sneak theirs!). I would thrive in a quiet, loving home with patient humans who appreciate the beauty of a loyal, mellow companion. If you're looking for a steadfast confidant whose heart beats with gentle devotion, I warmly invite you to meet me in the FIV+ Adoption Room at Kitty Corner. Let’s write the next chapter of our lives together— a story filled with trust, tenderness, and the quiet joy of finally being home. Wyatt would like to share an article from our friends at Alley Cat Allies which may answer some questions for those not familiar with FIV: https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/?fbclid=IwAR0snSSo7hpt6QrUbVmrXFnMfsXiDJRPH-44654PyshfsHvzQN3cpN3KtYE

Adopt Wyatt (FIV+) and Receive Wyatt (FIV+)'s Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Wyatt (FIV+)'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Wyatt (FIV+)'s current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Wyatt (FIV+), thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Wyatt (FIV+)'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wyatt (FIV+) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wyatt (FIV+)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Wyatt (FIV+)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wyatt (FIV+)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
