About this Cat
Sweet and Calm Meow! My name is Hope, and my estimated date of birth is April 17, 2017. I’m a gentle, quiet soul—a serene senior girl with the softest presence. The volunteers affectionately say I resemble a big, cozy pillow or a fluffy marshmallow, and I must admit, I do wear my roundness with pride. I have a calm, relaxed demeanor and find true contentment simply lounging in a warm bed or nestled in a soft blanket. I enjoy the comfort of gentle pets and kind words spoken softly. Though I won’t actively seek out affection, I welcome it when it’s offered with patience and care—even from people I’ve just met. When I first arrived at the rescue, I was scared and withdrawn. I would duck my head or retreat to the back of my kennel if anyone approached. But over time, I’ve learned to trust. Now, I allow gentle touches without hesitation, and my personality slowly blossoms the more time you spend with me. I did have some health issues in the past, including bladder stones, which led to occasional accidents in my previous home. Thankfully, those stones were successfully removed, and I’m now feeling much better. My litter box habits have improved significantly, and I haven’t had any recent accidents. I am currently on a special urinary-support diet (Hill’s C/D dry food), which has helped me stay healthy, and it is highly recommended that I remain on this diet in my new home. Wet food isn’t really my thing—I much prefer my crunchy kibble! I get along well with other calm cats who respect my space and don’t try to coax me into play. I’m not comfortable around dogs or young children, as their energy can be overwhelming for me. I would do best in a peaceful, adult home where I can enjoy quiet companionship and feel safe. I’m currently relaxing at Kitty Corner, patiently waiting for someone who understands the beauty of a calm, quiet connection. If you're looking for a low-key, affectionate companion with a heart full of quiet resilience, I’d love for you to come meet me. With a little time and kindness, I’ll be the softest, sweetest addition to your home.

100% of Hope's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Hope.
Adopt Hope and Receive Hope's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Hope's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Hope's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Hope, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Hope's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hope was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hope’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Hope’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hope’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
