About this Dog
Meet Dixie! She gets first prize for best-ever ears and hard-to-beat friendliness. Folks who meet her can't help but smile--luckily they all like hugs. Dixie is about 7 months old. She is a lovable mix of beagle and shepherd and maybe a pinch of something else. She weighs about 30 pounds, is spayed, micro-chipped, and is up-to-date on all her age-appropriate vaccinations. Dixie loves her daily walks and enjoys outdoor play time with her foster family's resident dogs. When it comes to her humans, she is an endearing tan and black magnet, content to be wherever her foster family is. She loves toys and takes her time to pick just the right ones from the toy basket. Dixie is that terrific mix of energetic explorer and serious snuggler. She is putting the final touches on her house training skills which makes her foster family so very proud of her. This four-legged Miss Congeniality might just be the perfect addition to your family. Email us at [email protected] for more information or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. 100% of Dixie's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Dixie.
Adopt Dixie and Receive Dixie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dixie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Dixie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Dixie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Dixie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dixie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dixie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dixie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dixie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
