Meet RiverRiver is an 11-month-old male who came to us as one of 12 cats surrendered from a single home. With so many changes happening all at once, itâs no surprise that heâs feeling a little unsure of his new surroundings.Though River is fearful, heâs shown that he can tolerate gentle handling and is taking slow steps toward trust. He hasnât shown any aggressionâjust a quiet, watchful demeanor as he adjusts at his own pace.River would do best in a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and take his time to come out of his shell. With love and understanding, we know this shy boy has the potential to become a truly loyal companion.The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $75.00FELV/FIV Testing provided for an additional fee of $35.00. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and RIVER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, RIVER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the RIVER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, RIVER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
