About this Dog

Bohdi is 8 years old born March 15, 2016. He grew really fast and had two knee injuries when he was only 1 year old, he had the Tplo surgery on his left knee back in 2017, that has given him a better quality of life. He likes to walk and run, he is still very active. He loves the snow and being in cold weather rather than the heat, but he also does like to sun bathe. Bohdi, is a protector dog, he needs to be in a well fenced area , he doesn’t run off. He barks at two wheeled things like Motorcycles and Bikes. He likes going Into the water and drinking from ponds and rivers. He loves belly rubs and is a gentle giant. He loves cuddles. You just have to be aware of his huge paws coming for you, telling you not to stop petting. He is house trained and does well home alone. He is well behaved in the house and doesn’t jump on furniture or chew things. He doesn’t play with dog toys and won’t ever bring a ball back, but he does enjoy a natural bone to chew on. He enjoys car rides and long road trips. He does really well in the car. He has been given good quality food all his life. Bohdi is good with other dogs and even cats, he does well walking on the leash, but needs to be leashed at all times when on a walk. He can be aggressive to strangers and other dogs he feels they are a threat. That’s why he needs to be leashed. Bohdi is starting to be afraid of walking on wood floors, this is a thing that happens to some great pyrs. Rug runners are his favorite. Bohdi is taller than the average great pyr and weights 120lbs. He is short haired but still has the double coat, he sheds all year long. He likes taking showers and being shiny white. He knows how to sit and give you his paw, he also knows commands like, come here, up up means jump in the car, are you hungry? , want to use the restroom? And quiet. He is a routine dog, and is okay with the routine changing too. Bohdis ideal Home, is a farm, or large property that’s fenced, for him to roam and protect, and a house he can sleep in at night. He has also lived a large portion of his life in a small yard in the city and that wasn’t his best life. He has traveled a lot and been to a lot of beautiful places.

Adopt Bohdi and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bohdi's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Bohdi receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Bohdi, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Bohdi's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bohdi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bohdi’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Bohdi’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bohdi’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
