*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Teddy, a stunning Great Pyrenees featuring long white fur accented by beautiful tan and gray markings. Teddy is housebroken and crate trained, walks well on leash, and knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake." His activity level is low-to-medium, making him perfect for a family who enjoys a daily half-mile walk followed by plenty of relaxation time. What makes Teddy truly special is his incredibly gentle and affectionate nature. He never jumps on people, instead offering the classic "Pyr Paw" when he wants attention, and he greets everyone at the door with calm, friendly enthusiasm. Teddy has proven himself wonderful with children, having enjoyed meeting and receiving treats from 11-year-old visitors, and he shows no aggression toward other dogs, getting excited but well-behaved during encounters on walks. He currently lives harmoniously with a high-energy Golden Retriever foster sister, loving their play sessions before spreading out for naps together. Teddy barks less than average for a Pyr, only alerting to cars passing by his fence, and he much prefers being inside with his family rather than patrolling outdoors. Teddy's ideal home is one where he can be a constant companion, as he wants nothing more than to be right beside his people, watching whatever projects they're working on around the house. He's perfectly content being petted and simply tagging along with daily activities. Teddy would thrive in virtually any loving home that has a 4-foot fence, whether as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or with canine siblings to play and nap with. This loving boy is ready to become someone's devoted shadow and gentle giant companion. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
