About this Dog
VERA is a young brindle mixed breed beauty looking for a home of her own. She appears to be a Heinz 57 varieties-type mixed breed girl. We suspect she's part Australian Cattle dog, some beagle and heaven only knows what else. She came to the rescue with Ranger, a beagle mix we believe is her father. Vera was painfully shy when she arrived but she's blossoming in her foster home. Every morning she flies out the door and does Daytona 500-style zoomies in the wet grass. She skids out then gets back up and continues to fly around the yard. Vera has struck up a special relationship with her foster sister based on a mutual love of playing bitey face and tug-of-war. She's still on the timid side in new situations and when meeting new people and needs the companionship of a confident playful dog to help her navigate life. Vera needs a home with a physically-fenced yard suitable for high speed zoomies. Young Vera is around 1 year old and fully grown at 33 pounds. She's housebroken, crate trained, good with dogs and okay with dog-savvy cats although she may chase a cat that runs. If you'd like to meet Vera, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Vera at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adopt Vera 2025 and Receive Vera 2025's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Vera 2025's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Vera 2025's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Vera 2025, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Vera 2025's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Vera 2025 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Vera 2025’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Vera 2025’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Vera 2025’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
