What is a Suphalak? • The Suphalak is often referred to as Thailand’s “chocolate treasure.” It is a solid reddish-brown or copper-colored cat with short, fine fur and golden or amber eyes. • In Thai, “Suphalak” means auspicious or graceful. • It was considered one of the luckiest cats in ancient times and was believed to bring wealth and prosperity to its owner. • Because of its rarity and beauty, Suphalaks were often kept by royalty and gifted to diplomats. In 2021, Alleycats & Aristocats became part of the Thailand cat preservation program by getting their cat, Mali, a Khao Manee. Since then, our director decided to help the retired cats of the Thailand cat preservation program to find new forever homes and thus became the ‘Aristocats’ in the name. Alleycats & Aristocats believes in the mission of preserving this rare breed. After the cats are retired from breeding, we help to find them forever homes. Cadbury is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, routinely treated for fleas and worms, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and heartworm. Her estimated DOB is 7/15/2023. All of our cats/kittens come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org which includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new furbaby into your home. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cadbury was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cadbury’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cadbury’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cadbury’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
