About this Cat
Boyd is the real-life Garfield you’ve been dreaming of! This big orange tabby has a heart as big as his belly and is looking for a loving home to call his own. After a long day of making biscuits and meowing about the drama of the day, Boyd is ready to curl up next to you for a well-earned nap. Found on the Piqua Kitty Trail—a sadly common dumping ground for unwanted cats—Boyd is a true homebody who’s had enough of the streets. What he wants now is someone to love him and help him shed a few pounds along the way. He needs a home with an adopter committed to guiding him on his weight loss journey with compassion (and maybe a few toys and slow feeder bowls). No personal space? No problem—Boyd will just scooch in beside you like he was always there. Boyd is FHV+ (feline herpesvirus positive), a common, manageable condition in cats. It doesn’t affect his lifespan or loving nature but means he may have occasional mild flare-ups, especially under stress. He just needs a caring adopter who understands and can help him stay healthy and comfortable. Ready to welcome this chatty, chonky cuddlebug into your heart and home? Boyd can’t wait to meet you! Boyd is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and heartworm. His estimated DOB is 12/1/21. I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org . This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help me settle into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours. Apply to adopt at: https://alley-aristo.org/adoption-application/

Adopt Boyd and Receive Boyd's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Boyd's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Boyd's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Boyd, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Boyd's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Boyd was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Boyd’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Boyd’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Boyd’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
