About this Dog

I am looking for a rescue to take my three YO Bully, "Tommy the Tank". I am a volunteer at CMPD and originally, took Tommy home as a "staycation". This turned into a foster. CMPD was finishing renovations and space restrictions were requiring some animals be euthanized, which is why I chose to adopt. Unfortunately, our family circumstances have changed. our daughter is moving back home with her cat. Son rescued a puppy and he visits us often. Our eldest rescue is 14 and requires a growing amount of attention and care. Tommy has had a couple dog incidents earlier in his time with us. Each categorized as "accidental bites". Last one with a small dog off leash. He has also had an incident with my daughters cat while she was away and we were cat sitting. All animals are doing fine and I have spent 5K on professional training since. This has helped his behavior immensely and he is a really a well behaved, well trained dog at this point. We live in Charlotte and I often walk him on the "greenway" or in the city with no issues of late. He has a high prey drive but the training and work I do with him, which is a lot, is working very well. Very good on a leash, sit ,stay and recall improving daily! All his immunizations and vet needs are up to date. He is Neutered, as CMPD animal control requires. He is a healthy and handsome animal. He is just a bit more dog than my family is comfortable handling at this point. To complicate matters, I will be traveling more for work which makes keeping him impossible. I am willing to make a donation to help with costs and insure he finds a great forever home. Breaks my heart to give him up. So loving and sweet 99% of the time! If you have room, or know of any other rescues who might, it would be greatly appreciated. PS Willing to help financially to initial costs of bringing him into the home with a well vetted adopter. Food, Toys , kennel costs if necessary. Warm regards, Rich

Adopt Tommy and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tommy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Tommy receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Tommy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Tommy's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tommy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tommy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Tommy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tommy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
