Rescued from a severe hoarding situation where he lived among more than 100 dogs, Carmy is now slowly discovering what it means to feel safe, loved, and seen.He’s timid with new people at first, but offer him a bit of cheese and a lot of patience, and you'll start to see glimpses of the loyal, tender pup he truly is. His adorable sideways tongue and little trot are impossible not to fall for.Carmy isn’t leash-trained yet and finds the outside world: cars, walks, loud noises, all pretty overwhelming. He’s still learning the ropes of crate and house training and hasn’t learned basic commands yet. But every day brings small steps forward, and every moment of trust is a quiet victory.His ideal home is peaceful and patient, ideally with other calm dogs who can help him feel secure. What Carmy needs most is someone who will love him for who he is today, while gently guiding him toward who he’s meant to be.If you have a heart for the underdogs, Carmy is ready to meet you with time, trust, and plenty of cheese.All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Carmine Berzatto was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Carmine Berzatto’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Carmine Berzatto’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Carmine Berzatto’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
