Location: Bergen, NY Rocco is a sweet boy who loves being the center of attention! He loves to snuggle, and if you let him on the couch or in bed with you, he will automatically be your best friend. He loves to play tug of war with toys and rip their squeakers and fluff out. He also enjoys running around outside chasing the birds in the sky, squirrels up the trees, or bunnies under the fence. He has a high prey drive and would do best in a home with no small pets. He’s lived with another dog, but it’s the only dog he’s gotten along with. Would suggest being the only pet in the home, but could try a meet and greet. He’s approximately 7-8 years old, and has no health issues. Rocco is reactive when he’s being held back on leash and would thrive with someone who can work with him. He’s responded well to training in the past and would thrive with someone who can offer some structure/routine. He is highly food driven and will do just about anything for treats. We suggest a home with no small children as he doesn’t seem to care for them, or if they get attention over him. Rocco is truly a good and loving boy and he would make a great best friend to anyone in need of one! He is loyal and will always have your back. He will love you unconditionally. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rocco was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rocco’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rocco’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rocco’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
