About this Dog
Birthdate: 1/13/21Breed: One of a kindWeight: 95 lbsDon’t let Rex’s tough-guy appearance fool you—beneath his strong, protective exterior is a big-hearted softie who lives for love and loyalty. With his big boy size, Rex might look imposing, but in his mind, he’s a pint-sized lapdog who just wants to snuggle up close to his favorite people.Rex is fiercely devoted to those he loves and takes his role as protector seriously—you’ll always feel safe with him by your side. He's not shy about showing his affection and will proudly make sure everyone knows who his people are.Though selective with new faces and not particularly fond of other dogs, Rex shines in a calm, confident home where he can bond deeply with his humans. He walks well on leash and enjoys playful games of tug, followed by long, cozy sessions curled up on the couch. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big bark, an even bigger heart, and a soft spot for cuddles, Rex might just be your perfect match. *Rex would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know him better with complimentary training sessions! Email us at [email protected] for more information!*Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://www.pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire! Once your questionnaire is pre-approved, you will be able to meet our pets. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
Contribute to Rex's Stash!

100% of Rex's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Rex.
Adopt Rex and Receive Rex's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rex's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Rex's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rex, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rex's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rex was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rex’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rex’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rex’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
