About this Cat
Turtle aka Menace is a really playful kitty that is curious about anything and everything. Her name was changed by her adopter to Menace because she was so outgoing and fun that she didn't think Turtle fit her personality. Unfortunately, her adopter's Visa was not renewed and she has to leave the country and give up Menace. Needless to say she is totally heartbroken, but she has no choice. When Turtle was first rescued she was wandering the streets, and walked right up to her rescuer's stoop and waited to be brought inside! She's a real dream cat, who enjoys playing with her crunchy ball toy and wand. She'll do high jumps to catch a fly! She'll love being with you, but also easily entertains herself. She's super curious but can also just sit back and observe the room. When she's done playing, she'll roll up in your lap. Turtle even got along well with her original rescuer's dogs and she may still be fine with dogs. In the home or her adopter she loved wandering around the house looking for any new spots she can sit in (if she fits, she sits). She also likes looking out the window. She may be a little shy at first but it won't take her long before she starts doing her thing. She loves attention and is totally a lap cat, any form of petting makes her really happy (holding her, being cradled like a baby, lying on top of you, chin scratches). She is quite a talkative cat and will meow even when she's getting pets. Here is a video of her: https://youtube.com/shorts/4LVVZzQpjLw?feature=share Turtle is 3 years old, spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and negative for FIV/FeLV. N ote, but she has Pica which means that she will chew on anything she can find (mostly cardboard boxes) and eat any random food bits lying out (she also loves ingesting human hair so she throwsup hairballs sometimes). The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Turtle aka Menace, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Turtle aka Menace's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Turtle aka Menace was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Turtle aka Menace’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Turtle aka Menace’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Turtle aka Menace’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
