About this Cat
These kittens came into their rescuer's care after being separated from their mother and from each other during the severely stormy week a month or so back. The larger one was meowing on the rescuer's street for at least 2 days before they went and brought him in. When he was found, he was crouched on a street corner, soaked to the bone, emaciated, and numb with shock and fright. When his rescuer brought him in and fed and warmed him, he became more alert but refused to eat or settle in for days. One evening the rescuer heard another frail voice mewing outside the window, and realized his sister was alone outside as well, and the little boy wasn't settling because he was missing his sister. The little girl was brought inside, and they have both been with their rescuer ever since. Enter KikiCookieCat (f) and Andrea B. (short for Andrea Bocelli) (m) —together, they're the Cookie Monsters. They’re bonded, affectionate, ridiculous, and absurdly charming. A little about them: Cookie Cat is the petite tuxedo — quiet unless she’s sleeping, but she flies after toys like she’s got wings. She can leap from floor to table to window ledge and twist midair beautifully enough to make a dolphin envious. Her intelligence shines through her eyes and she's extremely affectionate and comes and checks on me ever so often during the day, her deep green eyes full of sunshine. Andrea is a pretty boy with fluff where his brain should be - and the shyer of the two. He may be the bigger one but devoted to his sister’s every movement and always follows her lead. He loves to be the little spoon and has also started to check on his rescuer if they've been gone too long - though he brings his own panache to it and gives my ankles random kissies or head rubs. This is a courtesy listing, meaning the cat(s) are being offered for adoption by a rescuer, rescue group, or individual unaffiliated with the Brooklyn Cat Cafe or Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition. As BBAWC has not evaluated the animal(s) we therefore cannot provide information on health or temperament. After we receive an application, we will connect you with the current caretaker of this cat.
