Venus is now ready for adoption! This adorable girl came to us as a stray and was unfortunately never reclaimed. She just finished her vetting (spay) and is now ready for a home! Venus is estimated to be about two years old and came to us in pretty good condition. Her friendliness and understanding of basic obedience led us to believe she was going to get reclaimed however that wasn’t the case. She’s been at the shelter for the last week and a half and we’ve gotten to know a lot about her. She rides well in the car and loves to go for walks. She isn’t picky about treats and is neat in her kennel. She greets humans beautifully and hasn’t met a person she doesn’t like. She is about 50lbs and estimated to be about two years old. Venus has a short and stocky build making her one of the most adorable low-riders we’ve had! She can’t wait to meet you and we know you’ll fall in love instantly! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Venus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Venus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Venus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Venus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
