About this Cat
Rex Magnus is a very sweet boy who loves being the center of attention. His background is unknown, but he was very frightened of people and of loud noises when he came to us, and this is still the case most of the time. He will run and hide when scared, He has bonded with his Foster Mom, and now allows himself to be patted and held. He is learning to be groomed with the furminator tool, but will only accept it for short period of time. He often comes when his name is called. He is not a fan of wet food, but he also likes treats like Temptations. He doesn’t seem to have much experience with toys, but is learning to play with a stuffed fish with a jingle bell on a stick. He has made remarkable headway in trusting his foster mom and will do best in an environment with a single adult or a couple, without children and without other pets in the home. A second pet may be a possibility after he is settled in, but check with your vet first. Adoptive parents must be patient and be willing to let him set the pace in developing friendship and trust. If you are lucky enough to adopt him, you will have a wonderful time together as he grows into a loving family member in his forever home. A note on his name – his Foster Mom calls him Rex Magnus because that’s a kingly name for a 22 lb Maine Coon cat!

Adopt Rufio and Receive Rufio's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rufio's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Rufio's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rufio, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rufio's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rufio was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rufio’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rufio’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rufio’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
