About this Cat
Storm (about 3 years old) and Bell (about 14 months old) are an affectionate bonded pair looking for their forever home. Apart from his gray striped coloring, Storm hardly lives up to his name. He is quiet, reserved, and sensitive. On occasion, however, he will ""storm"" through the room with the zoomies! And sometimes, a mood builds up in him that he unleashes on Bell, taking her by storm and causing a furry ruckus! Moments later, he will shower her with love. Most of the day, though, this sweet boy prefers to find a quiet spot where he can curl up and drift away like a cloud.A little more than a year ago, Bell was a tiny 4-week-old kitten found alone in an alley. Storm's human brought her in and saved her life. Storm bonded with baby Bell and became the best big brother. But now they have lost their human and their home, and they need a place where they can settle in and play for the rest of their lives. This duo is friendly and adaptable, and they will absolutely thrive with some daily routines and scheduled playtimes. They both light up at the chance to chase a pole toy or a fly. Bell's fearless athleticism and wicked fast reflexes are stellar and quite entertaining! Storm lets Bell take the spotlight there, but he would love to build up the confidence to entertain himself with a cat tower or climbing wall. Storm is obsessed with running water. This little aqua-boy loves to drink from a fountain, and will race you to the bathroom sink! Bell, on the other hand, is fascinated with the workings of a toilet. But don't worry, she just likes to watch. She is very intelligent, though, so she might learn to flush it for you one day! Mostly, she likes to be near you as often as possible. When a lap isn't available, these sweethearts each love to survey the outside world from a comfy spot indoors. Loud noises don't bother them. They look to each other for support, and are easy cats to care for, but they do enjoy their human companions and mental stimulation. They have not met a dog, but might do well with proper introductions. Children are not recommended at this time. Bell is irresistibly cute, with soft fur, sweet trills, and a strong desire for affection and physical contact. She enjoys being the belle of the ball! She is used to a world that revolves around her, but sometimes when hands move around her she will get overstimulated and nip at them. Her foster mom has spent weeks training her to trust and not be triggered. Bell has made great progress, and most of the time she fully enjoys petting, face massage, and ear rubs. She even accepts belly rubs! But there's times that without warning she says ""don't even think about touching me."" And then her tail starts thumping, and it's game over. She won't hiss or attack, and she might even stay on your lap, but don't think of touching her until her tail stops moving. Sometimes within minutes you can pet her like nothing happened. Her forever people should respect her boundaries, be willing to keep working with her, and continue to help her feel safe, calm, and confident. Hopefully, with patience, understanding, and restraint from her humans, Bell can learn to accept love as generously as she gives it. If not, Storm is there to help weather it with you. He is a steady rock and such a lovely friend. So, how about letting this playful pair ring your bell and take you by storm... in the best way possible! Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bell / Storm’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bell / Storm’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
